The opening of the trailer emphasizes the original friend group with a closeup of a framed photo featuring David (Davidson), Sophie (The Hate U Give’s Amandla Stenberg), Alice (Shiva Baby’s Rachel Sennott), Emma (Chase Sui Wonders) and Jordan ( Industry star Myha’la Herrold).

But on this stormy night, the quintet has been augmented by their more recent friend Bee (Borat 2’s Maria Bakalova) and Alice’s new boyfriend Greg (Lee Pace), who is considerably older than everyone else.

The friends are then seen dancing and chanting playfully while Bee watches on from the sidelines.

But later she joins in the fun and is seen making out with Sophie.

Their carefree fun comes to a screeching halt when Sophie asks, ‘Who wants to play Bodies Bodies Bodies?’

David, a wealthy member of the group, sits on a sofa with his girlfriend Emma as she complains that the game always ends up with ‘someone crying.’

The rest of the girls, who are arranged in a circle on the floor, apparently have to slap each other as part of the game, which leads to hilariously over-the-top sobbing from Alice.

As they settle in to play, Sophie explains that ‘If you draw the piece of paper with the “X” on it, you are the murderer.

‘Everyone else has to avoid being the murderer,’ she adds.

But things take a dark turn when the female friends appear to find a dead body.

‘Our friend is dead,’ Jordan says dramatically. ‘Let’s just, like, not escalate this situation.’

Alice replies, ‘I’m not escalating! You’re holding the knife and moving your hands while you talk. ‘

She appears to have blood caked around her forehead, and the other women are also splashed with blood, though it’s not clear where – or who – it came from.

‘It would be so f *** ing obvious if I was the killer!’ David shouts in another scene, before snorting a line of drugs with Alice.

As the trailer comes to a conclusion, a loud bang is heard.

“Did you just f *** ing shoot me?” shouts Alice as she bends forward.

‘I can not believe you’re making this about you!’ Emma replies comically.

The trailer ends with a coda that seems to reference Pete Davidson’s real-life reputation for dating a string of famous women, including Kim Kardashian.

‘Well I just look like I f ***,’ he says while seated and wearing a white robe. ‘You know what I mean? I look like I f ***. And that’s the vibe I like to put out there. ‘
